Academic Integrity Office
Description
Who:
Students can contact the Academic Integrity Office if they have questions about restorative practices, academic integrity, or the process for reporting or responding to academic misconduct. The Academic Integrity Office is not a decision-making body.
What:
If you are under the suspicion for academic misconduct, prepare to meet with your instructor. You can also seek support at SAMU's Student Advocacy Centre. When you meet with your instructor, explain your point of view and come prepared to talk with your instructor. Once you meet with the instructor they will decide if no violation has occurred or occurred, if so, you'll be notified of the consequence and the instructor will inform the Academic Integrity Office and your department chair. If you do not agree with your instructors decision, you can request a review hearing. To do so, contact the Academic Integrity Coordinator by email, please use the appropriate templates on this website when emailing the Academic Integrity Office.
