SAMU Cares
Description
The SAMU Cares program is a bursary which assists 60+ families each year and is funded by the creative fundraising efforts of the SAMU community. The bursaries are to help students and families with financial assistance in the Fall and Winter terms. Bursary amounts depend on the number of applications and funds available. They try their best to allocate a bursary to every student who applies.
Application Reqirements:
- Application can be full-or part-time students
- Must be a SAMU member (paid SAMU fees)
- Are in financial need. Priority will be given to students with dependents
- And are referred by approved staff members from one of the following MacEwan Departments: Student Affairs/ Wellness and Psychological Services (WPS), Office of the University Registrar - Financial Aid, Access and Disability Resources, Early Learning at MacEwan Childcare Centre, kihêw waciston Â

Deadlines for the 2024-2025 school term are:
- Fall Term: November 8, 2024
- Winter Term: March 3, 2025 @4:00 pm
- Spring/Summer term:Â June 3, 2025 @4:00 pm
