At YWCA, we embrace the journey of reconciliation with indigenous peoples, honoring their rich contributions, cultures, and lived experiences. YWCA provides community services - counseling, disability services, and programing.

Programs and Services:

  • Camp Yowochas: is a outdoor education centre and summer camp which hosts more than 8,300 children, youths and adults each year. Giving everyone an opportunity to build leadership skills, and knowledge about their environment. For more information email: yowochas@ywcaedm.org
  • Counselling Services: these services offer psychological support to those who need it, providing more than 3,500 of counselling to 400+ clients each year. Offering both individual therapy and a Domestic Violence Support Group.  For information on how to apply for services email counselling@ywcaedm.org 
  • Disability Services: YWCA is a Level-2 Alberta Council for Disability Services accredited agency. Their services support a wide range of diagnoses such as but not limited to: developmental disabilities, mental health and complex behavioral needs, physical limitations and medical fragility.
  • Healing Gatherings: As part of their healing journey, MMIWF25+ families, survivors, and loved ones can share space and receive emotional and cultural support and healing gatherings.
  • Youth programming: provides girls with opportunities to learn leadership skills, connect with trailblazing local, women and, meet new friends.
